ThinkEngine Networks (AMEX: THN) and ILD Telecommunications, Inc. today jointly announced that ILD has selected to deploy the VSR1000 Media Server from ThinkEngine Networks, Inc. for its ROLLCALL Business Conferencing division to support the Company's ongoing growth and establish a long-term migration path from TDM to IP conference calling.

"Our business is growing and we knew we needed greater port capacity, and at the same time we felt that the shift from TDM to IP would soon be upon us," said Fred Lloyd, Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning of ILD and head of the ROLLCALL Conferencing division. "For obvious reasons the platform we decided upon also had to have outstanding reliability as well as an established reputation within the conferencing marketplace. ThinkEngine Networks' VSR1000 became the obvious choice for us because of their focus on the Service Provider market, their TDM/IP gateway, and finally their outstanding value in terms of cost per port."

"As we engaged ThinkEngine, we learned more about their embedded Reservationless Conferencing application and realized that it would also be the right choice to host our 'Meet Me' reservationless conferencing service, which is a big part of our ROLLCALL Business Conferencing suite of solutions," continued Lloyd. "Our customers are moving from TDM to IP telephony and we needed a solution that was transparent to them and seamless to us. The VSR1000 fit that description perfectly."

"ILD Telecommunications is a leading provider of business-to-business services, including reservationless, operator assisted, event, and web conferencing," said Mike Wixon, vice president of product management at ThinkEngine Networks. "They came to us for more capacity, but it soon became apparent that they really needed an open Media Server platform upon which to host a potential variety of voice services applications such as Reservationless Conferencing. The VSR1000 was designed first as a Media Server and then the conferencing application was layered on top. As a result ROLLCALL Conferencing felt it was right not just for their current needs, but it also provided them a base upon which they can develop and host a variety of voice services."
